The Mare Leviathan (TM) Public Kiosk PC Version 1.0 (Discontinued--Read Below!)

This public kiosk as shown is intended for public locations (but there is no reason the components can't be sold separately, please inquire). Like the Timekeeper, it's also equipped with a
very decent Athlon 64 Dual Core CPU, 160GB Hard Drive, and 2GB of RAM. The computer case is made to look like and old 1890's telephone Receiver case (as seen in Christianson's
Online Telephone Museum), and features an optional hidden slim DVD burner (see pictures). Phone handset is functional, with earpiece and microphone intended to enable VoIP calls (e.g.
Skype). The keyboard is made to look like an old typewriter and the Optical Mouse is finished like the keyboard has a "weathered-brass" finish. All components (except mouse) are
screwed to a 16 x 24 Dark Cherry Finish particle board, and the system has handles to carry "like a tray," for easy transport. The particle board can also be attached to furniture or chained,
providing some protection from casual vandalism.

The public kiosk has now been replaced, in favor of a stand alone desktop PC to be offered as a CLEARANCE item; the computer case is made to look like and old 1890's telephone
Receiver case (as seen in Christianson's Online Telephone Museum), and features an optional hidden slim DVD burner (see pictures). Phone handset is functional, with earpiece and
microphone intended to enable VoIP calls (e.g. Skype). The inner workings for this machine include an Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3600+ CPU, an upgradeable Biostar AM2+ motherboard,
80GB Fujitsu IDE Hard Drive, and 2GB of Mushkin DDR2 / PC 800 RAM (Specifications can be upgraded upon request). Linux Ubuntu (includes Skype) is the default operating system
but for an extra fee I can install Windows 7; please send special requests via email before ordering. The LG 22X "Super-Multi" DVD +- RW (shown) is also standard. The Socket AM2+
AM3-ready motherboard is upgradeable and can handle up to AMD Phenom-grade CPU's. The setup also features an oversize Thermaltake TR-1 CPU heat-sink/fan and a power supply
with an oversize ventilation fan, but note that it relies on built-in video and not on a video card, due to the space restriction inside the case.
